The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage to Mount Kailash (6,638 m). Embark on a spiritually uplifting 9-day journey to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar via helicopter from Lucknow. This route offers a faster and more comfortable alternative through Nepalgunj and Simikot, combining air and road travel to reach the sacred sites in Tibet.
The best time for the yatra is May to September. Due to high altitude, acclimatization, physical fitness, and proper permits (including Chinese Group Visa) are essential. This journey offers a profound spiritual and physical experience in one of the world’s most sacred landscapes.

Important Note: Please ensure that Indian passport holders submit their original passports to our Delhi office at least 7 working days prior to the trip for Chinese visa processing. Additionally, they must carry a valid Voter ID card with them.

 

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Lucknow airport or railway station, drive to Nepalgunj (approx. 3 hours). Program briefing will be conducted during dinner time. Overnight Stay at a hotel in Nepalgunj. (Meal: Dinner at Nepalgunj.)

Day 2: Flight Simikot – Heli to Hilsa

Take an early morning flight to Simikot, a scenic 1-hour journey into the remote hills of western Nepal and then board a helicopter for a 20-minute flight to Hilsa (Nepal border). Upon arrival, take a 10-minute walk to the Shera border and cross into Tibet, China. Here, you'll meet our Tibetan and Nepali crew, then continue with a scenic 30 km drive to Taklakot (3900 m) for overnight stay. Overnight Stay at a hotel in Taklakot. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Hotel Taklakot.)

Day 3: Taklakot Drive – Lake Mansarovar

Begin the day with a 78 km drive to Rakshas Tal, where you'll witness the majestic Gurla Mandhata Parvat and get your first glimpse of Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar.From Rakshas Tal, continue a 25 km drive to Lake Manasarovar (4550 m) .Spend the rest of the day immersed in spiritual activities—take a holy bath, perform puja, havan, worship, and meditation on the sacred shores of this divine lake.This experience, at the abode of Lord Shiva, is truly a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual achievement. Overnight Stay Lodge at the shore of Lake Mansarovar. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Lake Guest House.)

Day 4: Lake Manasarovar – Darchen

After breakfast, drive for about an hour to Darchen, the base camp of Mount Kailash. The rest of the day is free for acclimatization and preparation for the Parikrama (circuit trek).. Overnight Stay at a Guest House in Darchen. (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at Hotel in Darchen.)

Day 5: Darchen – Dirapuk Trek

After a short drive from Darchen, arrive at Tarboche and visit the sacred Yama Dwar, the gateway to the divine. From here, starts the 1st day of Parikrma - Mount Kailash Kora, trekking to Dirapuk (4,860 m)—a 12 km journey taking approximately 5–6 hours. En route, witness the awe-inspiring North Face of Mount Kailash. Overnight Stay at a Guest House in Dirapuk. (Meal: Breakfast at Darchen, Packed Lunch & Dinner.) ( Note: Travelers who prefer not to participate in the Kora can return to Darchen and stay there until the rest of the group completes the Parikrama.)

Day 6: Trek to Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass

Begin the most challenging and spiritually significant 2nd day of Parikrama the Kailash Kora with a steep 2-hour ascent to Dolma La Pass (5,700 m / 18,700 ft)—the highest point of the journey. Along the way, pass Yamasthal and Shiva-sthal, sacred sites symbolizing the shedding of ego and sins.From the top of Dolma La, enjoy breathtaking views and during the descent, catch a glimpse of the sacred Gauri Kunda, believed to be the bathing place of Goddess Parvati.The trail then gradually flattens out, with a 2–3 hour walk leading you to Zuthulphuk. Stay overnight at a Guest House in Zuthulphuk. (Meal: Breakfast at Guest House, Packed Lunch & Dinner.)

Day 7: Trek from Zuthulphuk – Taklakot – Hilsa

After an early breakfast, begin a short 8 km trek (2–3 hours) from Zuthulphuk to the pick-up point, where the coach will be waiting. From there, drive back to Darchen and reunite with group members who stayed behind. Continue the journey with a scenic drive to Taklakot via Mansarovar Parikrama Circuit (approx. 470 km – 7 to 8 hours). Stay Overnight at a Guest House in Taklakot. (Meal: Breakfast at Guest House, Lunch & Dinner at Taklakot.)

Day 8: Simikot – Flight Nepalgunj – Kathmandu

Early morning, drive to the Nepal border, then take a helicopter from Hilsa to Simikot, followed by a flight to Nepalgunj. Stay Overnight at a hotel in Nepalgunj. (Meal: Breakfast at Simikot, Lunch at Nepalgunj & Dinner at Nepalgunj.)

Day 9: Drive to Lucknow – Transfer to Airport / Railway Station

Today, bid farewell to your Tour as you will be transferred to Lucknow Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey carrying unforgettable memories of your spiritual and cultural experiences in Nepal.
